MBTA Retail Pass Program

NEW employees of Assembly Row/Assembly Marketplace retailers are eligible to receive a FREE 6-month MBTA Link pass in 2026!

Eligible retail employees will receive a FREE 6-month unlimited MBTA Link pass in 2026.

The MBTA Retail Pass Program is open to new retail employees that started employment within three months of requesting their pass. All employees of any new Assembly retail store or restaurant are eligible to receive a pass.

 
 

JOIN THE PROGRAM:

Eligible Retail Employees MUST:

1. Register for GoMassCommute and create your profile.

2. Navigate to the “Rewards” sections and claim the “"Try Transit" Program for New Retail & Restaurant Employees”

3. Complete the form, and Assembly Connect will review your request and follow up via email.

4. Log your MBTA trips on the GoMassCommute Trips page.

*MBTA passes will be distributed to eligible employees prior to the 1st of each month, and employees must apply for this program before the 20th to receive the pass by the beginning of the following month. Employees may not use their pass until the first of their designated start month. MBTA passes will be active for 6-months as long as the employee still actively works at an Assembly Row retailer/restaurant. Any abuse or misuse will result in termination of Assembly Connect's MBTA Pass Subsidy Program.*

Assembly Connect MBTA Retail Pass Program Terms and Conditions:

  • NEW Assembly Row/Assembly Marketplace retail employees hired within the past three months AND all employees of new Assembly retail stores or restaurants are eligible for the Assembly Connect MBTA Retail Pass Program.

  • Assembly Connect will provide eligible participants with a free unlimited 6-month MTBA link pass

  • MBTA passes will be distributed at the beginning of each month.

  • Participants must register via GoMassCommute and agree to log their trips to Assembly Square in the app. In order to receive your next month’s pass, you must have logged trips for the month prior.

  • Assembly retail employees may enroll in the program at any time; however, if the program is at capacity, participants will be added to a waiting list and contacted once a spot becomes available.

  • If a participant ends their employment with their Assembly Row/Assembly Marketplace retail employer during the program period, the participant must notify Assembly Connect when they terminate employment. Once a participant is no longer an employee at Assembly Row/Assembly Marketplace, their MBTA pass will be voided and will no longer be active. Participants will not receive any reimbursements for unused time on a monthly pass.

  • Assembly Connect reserves the right to verify your employment with an Assembly Row/ Assembly Marketplace retailer.

  • Assembly Connect reserves the right to limit the number of participants in the program and make changes to the program at any time.

  • Those who have participated in the MBTA Retail Pass Program and who have received subsidies from Assembly Connect are not eligible to re-enroll.
